KPJ Sentosa KL Specialist Hospital’s Pink Saves Amazing Race 2016




Kuala Lumpur, 23 October 2016 - Tasik Titiwangsa was all dressed in pink as KPJ Sentosa KL Specialist Hospital celebrated its PinkSaves Amazing Race 2016 on 23rd October 2016.  The event was in conjunction with Breast Cancer Awareness month celebrated worldwide every October.

Tuan Haji Mohd Taufik Ismail, Executive Director of KPJ Sentosa KL Specialist Hospital, said “This is the hospital’s second PinkSaves signature event, following its launch on 31st October 2015. It is specially focused on celebrating and raising awareness about women’s health through various preventive screenings and awareness campaigns.  
"This year, we wanted to give even more back to the general public.  PinkSaves Amazing 2016 gathered more than 600 participants including cancer survivors from Majlis Kanser Negara (MAKNA) and 40 ladies from BERNAMA’s Benita Biggest Loser 2016 program.

Winners of male and female category won cash prizes for the 5km run around Tasik Titiwangsa. Educational and fun activities were also held with sumptuous food from participating food trucks as well as free healthy beverages.
Taufik added "We are indeed overwhelmed by the support shown towards a good cause.”
The event also witnessed a cheque presentation to MAKNA which were partly contributed from the participation fees.
